Hosts Indonesia made their first final in 14 years with two second half goals to beat Vietnam 2-0 in the semi-final that was played at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium this evening.

Vietnam came back from a goal down to beat Laos 3-1 at the Lebak Bulus Stadium this afternoon to make sure that they finished the preliminary round of the men’s football event at the top of Group B – ahead of Myanmar.

Vietnam are comfortable at the top of Group B when they totally outplayed Vietnam 8-0 in a Group B tie that was played at the Lebak Bulus Stadium this evening (12/11).

The 2-0 victory over Timor Leste last night has rejuvenated Vietnam for the remainder of their campaign at the SEA Games this year.

Football is a mind game. And Myanmar certainly proved that tonight when for the second time in two matches, playing with ten men, they managed to avoid defeat.

Vietnam survived some harrowing moments before they were able to score a 3-1 win over the Philippines to pick up the full points in the opening match (3/11) of Group B of the men’s football event at the SEA Games this evening at the Stadion Utama Gelora Bung Karno.
